James,
I would reword the second question something along the lines of:

+ How would remote users access the instrument - via web browser or other application? If other, are there costs involved in licensing the application? Will users require any special training to run the experiments?

I would ask the bandwidth question separately, but it is very relevant.

Hi Innovators,

DRAFT FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS

As per our last team meeting, here's a first shot at a set of
questions we can use when engaging our PI respondents in follow up
conversations. These can serve as a loose guidepost so we all stay
roughly on the same page.

+ Further describe the instrument - what is it? what is it used for?
where is it?
+ What are the technical requirements to use the instrument remotely
(bandwidth, software, etc.). What technical skills are required?
+ Further describe any current or past efforts to extend access to the
K-20 community. Successes? Challenges?
+ Would you be interested in helping to share and participate in a
pilot project this fall involving a handful of students and teachers
from Internet2 enabled K-20 organizations (K-12 schools, 2-year
colleges, etc.)?

What's missing? Send any feedback via the team listserv. Let's shoot
for Friday 6/11 as our target for finalizing the questions so we can
start interviews.

INTERVIEW SCHEDULE

Here's a link to the 11 survey results

I propose each of us take responsibility for interviewing the
respondents we invited to take the survey. Our team goal was to
complete the interview by our next team meeting on 6/24. Sound good?

Thanks,
James
