If only to keep your spirits up. We use postgres.  Mostly because when we 
started that what our DBAs recommended.  We are considering migrating to 
some cloud or other.  If AWS it will be Aurora (postgres).  If Google it 
will still be just postgres.  I've tried both and both seem to work well.
