At Georgia Tech, we're Oracle today (and unhappy), and our Test systems are (very happily) Aurora postgres. We'll be upgrading shortly.

We use Oracle... mostly because it's what we're best set up to support due to being a Banner school.

Skimming some of the TIER documentation, it looks like MariaDB is the default?
