We use oracle and are switching to aurora postgres at penn.  Grouper has 
instrumentation, but we don’t have stats about database vendor.  Ive asked 
the instrumentation folks to add this and maybe we will get some useful 
information across institutions (once we incorporate it and for institutions 
who have that patch 😊 )...

Unfortunately, after more than a week, this query garnered only one response 
on the list, and I have email from another organization which indicated their 
choice. Nor have I independent confirmation that TIER is using MariaDB. These 
paltry results may be summarized so far as:

MariaDB: 1
MySQL: 1
Oracle: 1
