It's a longer story than it should have been.  I decided to do a trial run 
of the upgrade by importing my production database into my development 
system.  That is already at 2.0.1, so I only needed to convert the 
imported database and switch from the old to the new.  However, the
dev system uses a different username.  Thought I had switched all the 
permissions to the dev user, but apparantly skipped that step.
