Hi All,
I enjoyed this morning’s conversation. Further to David’s point about hands-on education for artists – it makes me again think about the potential purpose of a separate track for people more interested in the ‘doing’ then discovering the outcomes of networking
the arts. If that’s something to pursue, I might recommend a structured curriculum that begins with short explorations of production elements (video, audio and lighting) and their relationship to our networking tools and then moves into demos of full setups
of solutions like Domenico suggested. In my opinion, having some general understanding of the impact of production elements before you get ‘in the box’ is essential (and purposeful knowledge generally for artists in their lives). Those aspects have the potential
to improve or completely ruin and technology’s use. It makes diagnosing issues easier as well.
Best,
Justin
