VoIP WG,

   As you may know there is a VoIP WG meeting scheduled for next Monday at the Fall Members meeting in Austin.  The meeting will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in room 403 of the Austin Hilton.

   The tenative agenda is:

* Introductions and Agenda bashing
* Update on closing down H.323 Gatekeepers in US (Mike Enyeart)
* Workshop updates

 *East Carolina Workshop (Martin Jackson)
 *Recent SIP.edu workshop (Dennis Baron)
 * Intro to the SIP workshop starting Thursday (Walt
Magnussen)

* International Coordination (Stephen Kingham)

 * Update on progress in APAN h323-sip Working group
 * National/International peering SIP Domains I would like
to ask if someone in the working group could lead peering SIP networks
for VoIP traffic between Members, US and International.  For example we
can offer calls into Australia, and I think we could talk to Taiwan and
Singapore to do the same and I am sure there would be at least one US
based Member.  Work items could include:

  * international co-ordination
  * Routing, such as experimenting with TRIP but
could start with static
  * Authentication and key management between
Domains
  * Authorization between Domains and experimenting
with billing for the interconnects to PSTN

* Emergency Communications BoF (Tuesday 8:30) (Barry Wray)
* SIP.edu status/ next steps and spin-off (Dennis Baron)

      * Reasons
      * Proposed working group charter

* Progress report on ad hoc steering committee for Internet2 real
          time communications (Ben Teitelbaum)
* VoIP WG Futures (All)

      * Become a SIG?
      * If remain working group, what are the goals /
             deliverables for next 6/18 months?

The agenda may change before the meeting but this is what we have at this time.  Let us know if there are additional items that you would like to see included.   Your input into the process is critical so please plan to attend if you are going to be at the FMM.
