This is a fine idea (though it needs to be developed a bit further).

Are we talking about a matrix of {phones} X {proxies} or list of SIP
gear or all sorts, or what? Would the content be based on anecdotal
reports, official vendor claims, or formal interop testing?

Anyone who would like to step up to the plate and organize something
like this under the umbrella of the Internet2 VoIP WG is more than
welcome to! Just talk with me or start using
