rough notes from 1/22:

Mark reported on documentation on Cookbook

- installing Open Fire

- DNS records

- Database config

- patches for kerberos

don't have:

- more recent Open Fire mysql4 

- no info on other configurations that may work

- a fair amount still needs to be rewritten

- need to reformat for wiki 

use open office to save the data for the wiki (tim). 

content:

- others need to put time in to the document

- start with a skeleton of data

need to make progress before we get others involved.

SMM

- elaine to check traci to names of rooms we'll be using (same as last year)

- submit a request for side meeting (sm room, conf line, power strips)

1/22, Deke hosted a tour in second life. Should the wg participate in Second Life?

- side meeting session should have a mic in the room 

- check with Rodney to see if he would want to participate, if so select late afternoon time slot. 

potential partnerships:

- shibboleth (pick up that conversation next week)

- use real time chat and jabber, fit into collaborative work and other projects

How often should we meet?

- We'll meet next Thursday to get actions items lined up and

Use new PIC server

- change meeting announcements

- room name wg-pic to match working group name 

- leave room open

Planning for SMM discussion

- we'll leave the server up and running but no planned use for the member meeting

- jabber server as always, is available

- advertise the conference rooms

- advertise room names in the SMM program

- no assistance

- no table to field questions

Use of IM server

- Elaine to find out whether or not Internet2 staff would use it or will the staff just

continue using Adium. 

Cookbook

- Penn needs to clean up documentation before the cookbook can proceed. Penn

will review their documentation for us to use a base for cookbook.

Last fall we discussed development opportunities this needs more planning and

discussion. 

Do we want to have weekly calls?

- may not have enough content to hold weekly calls

- discuss with Tim when he is able to return running the calls
