You're right.  What I was seeing was sipc sending and resending but no
response from pals in the log.  I did some more testing and sipc is
sending the message out _and_ pals is responding.  Saw this both for
PUBLISH and INVITE.  In fact the call completed and the called gateway
started sending media.  At that point sipc started returning
destination unreachable to the media packets but never sent any SIP
responses.

I stopped and restarted sipc.  And now I'm not seeing any responses
being sent by pals.  Jamey, did it crash again at about 12:30EDT ?
