Interesting, thanks.
How was Haiyan able to report "Windows" as opposed to "A MAC address
with a prefix typically associated with a Windows PC"?
Did these numbers come from browser identification rather than
hardware address identification? Some other trick?

Would it also be possible to get an estimate, based on MAC address
prefixes, of how many Macintosh computers were registered to use
the wireless network, out of the total registered?
I suspect that within this community the percentage is WAY higher
than in the general public. But hey, I could be wrong.
Almost 1/6th Macintosh at the Member Meeting. I think their share of
the PC market is somewhere around 4%, so yes, WAY higher! Thanks to
Haiyan.

Yes, all the data still exist, here are the wireless reg summary:
Total devices: 624
Macintosh: 100
Windows: 486
Other: 38
And there are only 11 devices using Manual Reg.
