I was about to mention  SAP. Used several of those during our recent mcast problems.

 

Red Iris TV has been fairly reliable of late (I think that one is SSM) – a few dropouts here and there. The Hogescholl_Zealand and University of Bergen Kamera1 fixed cameras have been solid. These are up and running right now.

Does the same thing happen with other streams?

You can pick more up in VLC's SAP playlist, though not all work.

I’m also doing some multicast testing here at UNH and can ‘pass’ the tests most days...and I did today  successfully log into Frank’s stream below- but after a couple minutes I lost sound and couple minutes after that I lost the video...

Any guesses on where the bottleneck is for me? (Right now I’m on 3 year old macbook pro running 10.6)
Could it be firewall related?
