Title: Script to Count Clients Watching Multicast MPEG2 Stream

I think the most reliable (and certainly the easiest) way to count viewers is to embed the view in a web page and count web hits. This can be a sophisticated or simple as you wish.

Hey Everyone,

Before going out an re-inventing the wheel and coding up a script to attempt to do this, does anyone have a script that counts number of receivers joined to a specific group, preferably via snmp?  We're doing an internal MPEG2 multicast stream of CNN to our classrooms of the inauguration tomorrow and we are looking for a way to track users who end up watching it.

Or if someone has the oid's handy for the igmp/cgmp snooping tables that map a multicast address to switchport that would do also, all the stuff i found in the cisco mib's don't actually have this table available that i can find...
