Hi,

> Currently, our TTL is 99, and announce is every 30 seconds, and we would

that TTL means the SAP will be allowed to hop to 98 other routers before
it gets dropped. .. from old reckoning you can get to every router
on the internet within 30 hops. (is that still true guys?)

a TTL of 6 would get us from our deepest reaches of the network, through
the aggregators to the backbone, across the backbone, across our firewall
to border router and out to other sites on our WAN
more importantly for everyones sanity is if the mlulticast scope is
not global - eg a local 239.192.x.x then dont slap that group into
a globally announced SAP (its just annoying to see promising channels
in SAP and never being able to joint them....am i forever limited
to the Monterey jetty webcam (nice view..been there in real life too)
and a random selection of french and Greek lectures? ;-)
