That is good to know. I specifically spoke to people from continental Europe about this, and of course in the UK things can be different.

That seems like a lot of students so presumably they are counting others.

I don't know about the rest of Europe but in the UK, at least, Internet access in halls of residence is available at pretty much every institution. JANET is, of course, mulitcast enabled and as IPTV retransmission of broadcast TV is really starting to take off over here multicast functionality is also very common on campus and in hallnets.

I'm not sure how many students we have across the UK in Halls, maybe someone on the list from JANET could wizard up the relevant stats?
