Hi Marshall,

As you know, we already support this RFC for backwards compatibility, and
the VBricks you have can stream to the IP/TV viwer and the SAP's are picked
up by the cisco content manager. System Streams are, IMHO, superior but are
not picked up by the cisco. You are correct that raw system streams over
UDP/IP have not been described by an accepted RFC, but we're working on
that.

I refer to the "cisco format" in reference to their particular behaviors and
due to the seemingly wide scale use in this community. Also, it happens to
be convenient language for many of our customers, but I realize imprecise
for this group. I stand corrected.

Rich

Hi Rich;

It is not a Cisco format. It is part of the Internet
protocol, RFC 2250

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2250.txt

It was not developed by Cisco, and is supported by many
major players such as RealOne and Apple Quicktime.

I would be glad to help you get your system format into the
Internet protocol, although it will be tough going if it is
not carried by RTP.

Regards
Marshall
