Good point. Because potentially all participants in the MIX can connect
to the VLAN that you own to receive content via you, you may need to
have as many routers connected to a VLAN as there are participants in the
MIX. Because only the owner is actually sending out MSDP/MBGP information
into the VLAN (to peerings across that VLAN), one may be able to save
addresses by using two subnet addresses on a VLAN: a /30 of global
addresses, and a /24 or so of private addresses. Dunno if that would work
in all routers though. Maybe one could completely rely on private addresses,
not sure about the impact onto BGP for that. Certainly traceroute etc.
may dislike it.
