We are scheduled to meet together in person at the Internet2 Global Summit on Monday 05/07/18 08:30AM-11:45AM.  https://meetings.internet2.edu/2018-global-summit/detail/10005058/

 

The meeting will take place in San Diego, CA at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina.

 

I’m writing to ask for your feedback and ideas on topics you might like discuss or speakers we should invite to our community meeting.  Feel free to email me directly with your ideas or send them to the listservs above so others can respond as well. 

 

A few ideas to kick us off:

 

• Since we are in California, we can take advantage of the local exemplar projects, initiatives, and programs happening across the CENIC community.
• Community discussion around the recently released report entitled “To and Through Anchors: A Strategy to Connect Rural Communities.”
• What is new with the Steward program and eduroam?
• Highlights from network performing arts workshop in Miami
• Next steps for the US UCAN program – develop action plan for improving communications, collaboration, and information sharing
• Current and future collaborations opportunities with the Library of Congress
• Regional network updates round robin
• LoLa for All working group report

 

We will also have the Teaching and Learning SIG on Tuesday 05/08/18 12:00PM-01:00PM.  Larry Gallery, T&L SIG Chair, and I discussed focusing the discussion on how LoLa and other network performance arts applications are increasingly being used across K-12 and libraries.  Several case studies will be presented.

 

We will have our traditional social gathering (time/location TBD) on Sunday evening for those that are able to get into town for dinner.

 

Looking forward to planning the agenda for our meeting together over the next couple of months!
