Hi Bart, Scott, Chad, Steven and others

Many thanks for progressing this discussion. There's seems to be some
interest in this area (Nottingham Trent University express a similar
interest on the JISC Shibboleth list) and I'd be grateful for any
pointers too so that we can make use of shibboleth/A-Select as suggested
to address a real and pressing need.

If anyone has a contact at Microsoft I would be happy to email them
about our requirements

Great, I think we have the answer then, just need a pointer to this API,
wherever it lives. Frankly, even just the docs that MS provided would
probably be sufficient.

Shibboleth being one, I think we're there.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Microsoft is going to support
anything
but WS-Fed and/or some new InfoCard-related approaches anytime soon.
