Walter and I talked about that this morning.  If all we had to do/worry 
about was the JDK version this might be okay, but there are other things 
to consider; which JDK (Sun, IBM, JRockit, etc), Tomcat configuration 
(are there already other endorsed libs? do these conflict?) and a few 
other minor things.  I think the safest thing to do is simply to tell 
users that they need to copy them over.

Nate, it probably wouldn't hurt to suggest moving the existing Tomcat 
endorsed directory to some like endorsed.dist or endorsed.old in case 
people need to change back.
