Bodington contains a deployment of Guanxi. It's a bit like the difference
between Java and Embedded Java.

Guanxi is a standalone Shibboleth compatible IdP and SP.

Bodington is the platform within which Embedded Guanxi runs. The good
thing about Bodington is that it's also a very fine grained attribute
store. With an embedded Guanxi running in it, it becomes a Shibboleth
compatible attribute store out of the box. No admin required. It creates
it's own keystore and certs, self-signed just for a "kick the tyres"
evaluation. It's ARP is customised for a sensible release policy and the
bridge between the embedded Guanxi and it's attribute store is
preconfigured.

It really is a zero admin IdP. You can download the 2.4.2 release and use
it to access the Athens Shibboleth Gateway, once you've obtained proper
certs of course. The self-signed ones are for you to get used to running
an IdP attribute store.
