Here's a somewhat standard redirect url, created by my target

https://wayf.internet2.edu/InQueue/WAYF?

shire=http%3A%2F%2Fpluto.services.brown.edu%2FShibboleth.shire&

target=http%3A%2F%2Fpluto.services.brown.edu%2Ftwiki%2Fbin%2Fedit%2FMain%2FStevenCarmody%3Ft%3D1087487858&

time=1087487863&

providerId=https://pluto.services.brown.edu/shibboleth/target

In order to test my localhost installation (origin + target), I should...?

1) change the WAYF url to my local HS

2) change the shire value to my localhost shire (https://hostname/Shibboleth.shire -- actually, the HOST name with the RequestMap elements for the standard target say Host name="localhost" -- will shib map my real hostname to localhost, when its mapping thru the requestmap?

3) change the target to http://hostname/secure

4) what do I do with the time value?

5) change providerId to the value found on the Applications element:

<Applications xmlns:saml="urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.0:assertion"
id="default" providerId="https://example.org/shibboleth/target";>

anything else?

I've installed shib on a Solaris machine in the IT data center.... can I use a browser on my desktop to do this testing?
