Hi Phil,

The hardware setup seem reasonable for what you are trying to do. MaDDash generally is not too hard on httpd. httpd really only gets hit when you use the web page. I wonder if soething else is happening that is breaking httpd. Also, any errors in the files under /var/log/maddash/?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,

I'm finally looking under the hood of Maddash, lots of nice shiny parts
under there!

I have the Maddash server, esmond and httpd server running on a stand
alone system.  Not a particularly beefy system, single CPU, i3-3240 CPU
@ 3.40GHz, 8G RAM, 10g NIC.

It is doing all it is supposed to do but after a few days of running the
web page slows and eventually stops.

A systemctl status httpd shows the usual but a ton of these lines:

           ├─ 6456 /usr/sbin/httpd -DFOREGROUND
           ├─ 6459 /usr/sbin/httpd -DFOREGROUND
           ├─ 7162 /usr/sbin/httpd -DFOREGROUND
           └─11315 /usr/sbin/httpd -DFOREGROUND

Like 280+ lines like that!  A restart of httpd clears it up for another
few days but today it has filled back up twice in just a few hours.
Something seems to be keeping a http connections open.

It is managing a modest mesh of 13 x13.

Any ideas for fixing this?  (I did play with the # of workers variable
but it didn't see to have an impact, assuming I in fact was able to
change that variable.)

Thanks,
Phil
