Also, Andreas, while it is technically possible to upgrade from CentOS 6.x to 7.x, I believe the recommendation is to do a clean install of 7 (this would be from the CentOS docs, not from perfSONAR). This keeps with the tradition of 6.x: "there is no supported path to 'upgrade' an installation of a prior major CentOS release (CentOS 5) to a new major release".

Your mileage may vary, there are certainly folks out there who have managed it.

Our plan was to wait until version 4 was released, and use CentOS 6 in the meantime (which is a fully supported OS).  Once 4 is solid, we will deploy a new test instance and once it looks good, we will gradually replace the 3.x servers with new ones.  I imagine there will be a (generous?) window of time before 3 is deprecated.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the recommended upgrade path for a production deployment of perfSONAR.
