So I understand that perfsonar 4.0 will officially support centos7.

I'm interested in using just a subset of the tools on some centos 7 nodes (like iperf and bwct) that won't be full on perfsonar nodes. I'm also trying to reconcile the below reply with the Jan 25 announcement on the perfsonar site (http://www.perfsonar.net/#20170125-release) that says if you are doing a new install to go ahead and use RC3.

I'm specifically interested in installing what would be called the perfsonar-tools meta package.  I've looked at the repo RPMs here:

http://software.internet2.edu/rpms/el7/x86_64/main/RPMS/

But using what I assume will be the official repo setup rpm Internet2-repo-staging-0.7-1.noarch.rpm doesn't lead me to any package called perfsonar-tools nor bwctl.   Assuming that these tools are the source of delaysfor the 4.0 release, is there a repo we can use to get at the perfsonar-tools meta package from RC3?  Should ones tagged "staging" or "nightly" work? Or do we need to roll our own for now.

Thanks,

~jpr

I can’t seem to find the links for centos 6 to 7 migration and the repos for the centos 7 installation on the perfosnar.net.

CentOS 7 will be supported when perfSONAR 4.0 is released.  The documentation for that is in the works and the only repositories that support it are the staging and nightly builds, which we don’t recommend for production use.
