Hi Andy, et al.
Just downloaded both 4.0 RC1 ISOs and tried to install them on VMWare vCenter using the same configuration we used for testing PS 3.5.1.

So far, the FULL install fails to start-up with the following error message:

ISOLINUX 4.05 0x54f93f16 ETCD Copyright (C) 1994-2011 H. Peter Anvin et al
No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found!
boot:

The NET install seems to boot-up fine, so I'm using that for now.

Just wanted to give you a heads-up that the FULL install ISO of 4.0 RC1 might be broken (at least for some people.)

Cheers,

- Matt

All,

The perfSONAR 4.0rc1 Toolkit ISOs are now available for testing. Previously the RPM packages and Debian packages were the only install options available for testing 4.0rc1. The ISOs can be downloaded here: http://downloads.perfsonar.net/toolkit/release_candidates/

You can find instructions for using the NetInstall at http://docs.perfsonar.net/release_candidates/4.0rc1/install_centos_netinstall.html. Likewise you can find instructions for using the FullInstall at http://docs.perfsonar.net/release_candidates/4.0rc1/install_centos_fullinstall.html.

The ISOs are based on CentOS 7 as opposed to CentOS 6 in previous versions. If you are interested in migrating a CentOS 6 machine to a new CentOS 7 machine see the instructions here: http://docs.perfsonar.net/release_candidates/4.0rc1/install_migrate_centos7.html

Thanks,
The perfSONAR Development Team
