Hi George,

In fact the problem is more complex. These updates to the FW config come with
the perfsonar-toolkit bundle on updates.
This is the bundle that delivers the GUI interface. I have not been able to
find a solution around it, so I have an automation through Puppet, that goes
after the perfSONAR upgrade and reverts the changes.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of the perfSONAR user
community needs to see progress/solution in this direction (detach the GUI
from the dependencies of having automated system reconfiguration with each
upgrade), so that a change is considered.

I am opened to all point of views.

Best regards,
Ivan Garnizov (personal opinion)

Hi George,

Is there a particular reason you don't want to simply disable updates in
the toolkit (although it's not recommended)?

Regards,
