2Gb of RAM seems pretty slim. One of ours has 4GB and 3.7GB is used. I would
not skimp on RAM, unless you want to manually upgrade it yourself.

I don't have any personal experience with the X2, but I did a little
presentation at ENCITE a few weeks ago where I believe someone had mentioned
that they were using that platform successfully, even with CentOS. I wouldn't
use this as anything more than an anecdotal reference from my part, however.
