Got it, thanks for the clarification, and apologies for misinterpreting.

I hope to write it up to serve both an educational function and as the
mission statement of a new parallel LAN measurement task area.

What I could use is some help in how to make that new Performance Measurement
Group task area happen. Probably need to talk to some I2 folks for that.

Dan - I'm sorry, that wasn't my intent at all. The fact is, I don't know
enough to know whether I shouldn't like your proposal or not. In
point of fact, I'm quite interested in what you've said in this thread.

Not at all. I want you to educate me so that I understand. A
white paper could be tremendously helpful in that regard.
