Stream of consciousness... I was thinking something like a web front end
to ring-ping and ring-all <controlled command subset>. The real value is
being able to add access control to the ring tools, I think, and
leveraging the ability to create on demand and private rings like you can
do with the other toolkit pieces. The thought process I had was that it
could be pretty useful for things like testing anycast DNS, checking
multiple paths quickly, automating and creating baselines with these
tools, and even graphing them somehow is also interesting to me
personally. Making the tools available for those that don't want to use
CLI tools, like has been done with iperf/bwctl is also valuable.
I realize that this is expanding the scope of the perfSonar toolkit to
things beyond performance. It seems like a logical next step.
