I would like to announce the availability of software that implements a Topology service. It is written in Perl, and uses the Berkeley Sleepycat XML Database for back-end storage. The release uses the Beta Topology Schema currently under development. The software can handle requests to get the entire contents of the database, to perform an xquery against the database and to add/replace/update topological elements in the database.

You can download the software from http://wiki.perfsonar.net/jra1-wiki/index.php/Perl_Topology_Service

Also included at that page are some example queries as well as an example instance document for the schema along with a description of how to construct fully-qualified identifiers for each topological element. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email the list or contact me directly.

Cheers,
Aaron
