Stijn,

I managed to have the access-list updated from our side.
Could you please test the TELNET/SSH MP using this URL ?

http://195.98.238.194:8080/JAVA-SSHTELNET-MP-1.0/services/TelnetSSH

Let me know if at least you can engage connection with our MP.

Let me know if you I can help you from my side
I'll try to execute your webstart version.
But it seems that I have a security issue with the JNLP requesting full access to my machine resource...
(I have java 6update1 installed)

Thanks your your usual support.
Best regards/Fred

Hi,

if you use the rar version, you should use this one:

http://users.atlantis.ugent.be/svrstich/LookingGlassClient-0.6.rar

As for the Web Start version, could you please try to run that one again, 'cause here it runs fine. There shouldn't be any problems with starting it.

The web start version is the following:

http://chaos169.test.atlantis.ugent.be/apache2-default/lg3.jnlp

Hi everyone,

I confirm that I have the same issue...
At the end of the installation process, I got a message saying that "Apparently the installation was successful"
But when I want to run the step 4, the test supplied by the installer failed.

I tried installation using the service packege from ant directory and it was OK.

To finalize the test:
* I registered 1 equipment
* For this equipment, one command: "show ip bgp summary" with no parameters.

From the JAVA Looking Glass client software g, I manage:
* To contact the TELNET/SSH MP
* To list the equipement I registered
* To see the "show ip bgp summary" command

But when I click on the Query button, no result is retrieved and I got a time-out message. (Here attached to this mail)
I look into the service log folder but no clue telling us what's going on:

loui@SCRIPTS1:~ % cd perfsonar-bundle-2.0-RC1/webapps/JAVA-SSHTELNET-MP-1.0/WEB-INF/logs
loui@SCRIPTS1:JAVA-SSHTELNET-MP-1.0/WEB-INF/logs % ls 14:13

2007-05-22 14:11:58,622 DEBUG - [CiscoSshBgpAdapter] Constructor finished

In addition when I log into the equipment, I can't see any SSH session previously spawned
except the one I used to connect the equuipment

Any explanation ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Frederic,

Do you get any information in your Java Console when you query the MP using the Looking Glass, and if so, would you like to send it to me? There is also some valuable information in there.
When trying the standalone (*.rar TELNET/SSH package, I the JAVA console is not updated ...)
However, when I'm using the webstart version I got the following error and I can't launch the LG. (Here attached to this mail)
(This does not happen with PerfSONARUI for example...)

Could you please tell me which Looking Glass you are using? Did you install one yourself or are you using the Java Webstart version at http://chaos169.test.atlantis.ugent.be/apache2-default/ ?
No, I just used the Looking Glass using this link: http://users.atlantis.ugent.be/svrstich/LookingGlassClient-0.5.rar
Do you want me to use the webstart version ?

Or could you provide me with the URL of your MP, so I can query it myself using the Looking Glass?

Our admin are currently busy now, I'll keep you posted when the access could be ready.

Regards,

Stijn
Thank you
Bgrds/Fred
