Hi Jochen,

as the SUDO account will be limited to a list of commands to run (to install what you need), could you please provide a list of commands that are needed to install what you need (even if it is not complete - we can add some more later).

Cheers,
Nicolas

For both operating systems it might be necessary to install required
packages from the standard repository. Should we provide a list to make
it possible for the administrator to install these dependencies via yum?

Would a user have to do this too?
If no, then provide the list of packages that the administrator would
have to deploy for you.
If yes, then I suggest you provide the list of root command that needs
to be run to install those packages.

Available packages depend a lot on how the system was installed. So you can normally not predict which packages will be available.
Normally you put something like the following in your documentation:
Make sure that the following packages are installed: .....
You have to install them before installing the RPMs of this software release. You can normally use "yum install <PACKAGE NAME>" for this.

Btw: For RedHat quite a lot of packages will be missing. Most likely we can fill the gap using Fedora packages available from typical package repositories.
Other services might have similar problems! At the moment I'm lucky that Roland has already created RPMs for bwctl, because we also need them. But for testing the CL-MP some more packages are needed. We will see...

greetings,
Jochen
