| Sorry, about that, I added authentication today. The username is "perfsonaruser", and the password "perfsonarpass" .

I don't think we can provide the full functionality that is offered by the standard command line of sql (postgres or mysql) or the already existing tools for such database. The functionality offered will be creating-editing users, creating-deleting databases and tables. Off course security issues could be raised here...

This is not indented to be the way to initially configure the rel db, its more like something you would use to do some standard tasks is db without having to use the db cli.Initial configuration can happen using the wizard servlet or the traditional methods. What do you mean that the db will be installed the standard way? Ant scripts? or rpms?
'standard way' I mean using tar ball or any installation package (for example rpm). Existing Ant script for configuring an access to rel db just collects jdbc information from a user who installs the service. It does not create or change anything inside rel db.

As I said I'm not sure.
