As the interface is not used by any of the developers, I think this is 
reasonable. Please update the interface specs by adding a note that 
these specific parameters do not have any effect and that rrd files are 
created using the parameters specified in service.properties.

Michalis will provide some more test results today so, you can take them 
into account as well (before creating the next tag if required)
