Jeff, You're right, it uses unix timestamps, so it's daylight-savings 
rules independent.

Nicolas, AFAIK we don't intend to write cron-based scheduler. We have 
one written by Loukik and used in his service only (which seems not to 
be developed any more?).

I wrote SimpleScheduler which is, in fact, the simply cron 
functionality. It's sufficient for most of my requirements (LSCleanup, 
LS registration component), but of course should be extended by more 
advanced configuration (with NMWG?).
