Yes, I think we agree on this, but Jeff's point is that the key
should be "opaque".  But parameters outside of the key
make sense and I think that we started this work in Poznan.

Maybe we didn't remove them but lost them in a revision?
Actually, Jason removed some things since he was getting
complaints that "example X doesn't work."  I remember the
discussion and didn't put it together at the time that this would
kill "work in progress."
