Greetings,
Unless there are objections or suggestions, we plan on migrating www.perfsonar.net in the next couple of days to point at the official website.I believe this was the plan once v1.0 was announced, so we should move forward on it.
Here's the proposed transition:
1) Get acknowledgment from Jerome and PSNC to begin process. (Jerome, PSNC, respond to Eric)
2) Announce to email lists (perfsonar-announce, perfsonar-users, perfsonar-dev, proto, gn2-jra) that URL will not point directly to wiki anymore. (Eric)
3) Migrate the web pages to the formal web space. Jerome and Susan will have permission to edit. (Migration done by Dan Pritts.)
4) Change DNS (Dan Pritts)
a) Edit www.perfsonar.net CNAME (with 15 minute TTL) so it points at formal web space.
b) Redirect www.perfsonar.net/jra1-wiki/* -> wiki web site. (This
The result will be that www.perfsonar.net points to the formal web site, but URLs such as http://www.perfsonar.net/jra1-wiki/index.php/Main_Page continue to point to the wiki.
In addition, I'd like to remind folks that we should stop using the proto list and use the appropriate perfsonar-*@perfsonar.net list going forward. Perhaps the proto list should be locked?
