Hi Tom;

Jason fixed the web site and uploaded the new tarballs into the download dir so yes, everything is now accessible. The source code is stored in a sourceforge SVN repository so you should be able to access that as well. I would be happy to see this used more extensively by others using the standard SVN functions to create branches and other more formal release functions.

As for changes: I'll need to figure out how to get the svn-to- changelog function to work, but until then

Most of the recent changes have been to support the M-Lab deployment. These include:
) limiting the number of clients that can wait in the queue.
) The client was updated to handle 'are you alive' queries, this allows the quick removal of queued clients when the user leaves
) changes in the way the server processes/queues clients to handle this new 'alive' function
) handling multiple simultaneous clients (this is still being worked on)
) changes to the log file structure. If detailed logging is enabled then these log files are stored in the /usr/local/ndt/serverdata/yyyy/ mm/dd structure
) new meta-data file is now written containing log results, and other info from the client (IP, FQDN, detailed log file names, etc)
) changed the Applet version number to match the main NDT version number

Those are the main things that have changes. As noted, the multi- client code is still being developed so you can expect a couple of new releases in the next few weeks.

Hi Chris;

Sorry about that. There is a bug in the 3.5.0 release. You can
download the latest version (3.5.6 which will be posted soon)...

Hi Rich,

Glad to hear there is a new release coming - can you give us a preview
of what other fixes/changes are in this version?

Also, is the NDT source available in a public repo anywhere, so that we
can follow/try (heck, possibly even *contribute* to) pre-release changes?

Thanks,

-tt
