Oh, forgot to say, the binding unit tests in the opensaml project are pretty
complete examples of how to implement metadata-based message processing.
There's sample test metadata driving the tests and the testing base and sub
classes show a complete end to end example using pretty much all of the
library's pieces.

It's pretty much verbatim how Shibboleth processes messages, that just has
the configuration logic and plugin management added instead of hardcoded
like the test case.
