Thanks for your prompt response, I imagine you get these type of questions
quite often.
Not as often on this as with the Shibboleth, thankfully. This has code has the benefit of being to low in the stack for most people to... discuss. ;)
The time frame of July or August fits well with our project time line and so
are going to look very carefully at using the opensaml 2.0 framework from the
start, rather than starting with opensaml 1.1 and then moving to 2.0 later.
We will need to make a team decision about this in the next day or so.
Yeah, definitely don't start with OpenSAML 1.1. There is nothing in common with the design of that library and the 2.0 library.
Will the alpha release be publicly available or only for certain people? How
can we get involved in testing this release? We are very interested in
contributing to the project and would like to know more about how to get
involved. I am sorry if I am asking questions that are answered on the Wiki,
but the Wiki appears to be down at the moment.
It'll be publicly available. Best ways to get involved:
- Write unit tests and submit them via Jira, our bug/issue tracking site
- Help fix bugs people submit and submit patches via Jira
- Help write/correct documentation
This is possibly not a conversation for the rest of the list so feel free to
email me off list if you prefer.
Oh no, I wanna use peer-pressure where I can to get people to help test. ;)
