Hi Team,
Forwarded problem description email that was posted by me got resolved by doing the following :
In opensaml.properties file :
Problem Cause
org.opensaml.compatibility-mode = false
Problem Solution
org.opensaml.compatibility-mode = true
However, I am not sure how this could have an impact only in the web environment of WSAD 5.0 and not in the stand alone Java program. Scott, can you please help me understand the significance of this change.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Anand V.

Hi Team,
In our source code (a servlet running in Websphere 5 Test Environment), when we were trying to sign a SAMLResponse Object we are getting the following error:
[4/28/04 16:58:52:400 GMT-07:00] 69d7c67a WebGroup E SRVE0026E: [Servlet Error]-[java.lang.Exception: method <init>(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/Throwable;)V not found]: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: java.lang.Exception: method <init>(Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/Throwable;)V not found

Following is the code snippet, which throws that error:
**********
resp.sign(
XMLSignature.ALGO_ID_SIGNATURE_DSA,
ks.getKey(alias,password),
Arrays.asList(ks.getCertificateChain(alias))
);
where resp is a SAMLResponse
**********
We were not able to identify the root cause of this problem, as this works perfectly fine in a stand alone java program.
Please help us to resolve this problem. Please call me if you have any questions at the below given number.
