Sorry to take so long to chime in. We do need to take this discussion further and I agree with James, we ought to put Muse development planning on the front burner. In our next call I'd like to share some insight and perspective gained from conversations with members of the SPEC and AMSAC about the OPEN LETTER to the SPEC from K20. I believe we can be encouraged and there are some specific next steps for our follow through.
I have outlined agenda items below for our K20 Exec Team call on Tuesday Nov. 18. Let me know if there are additional items for the group to consider in our next call.
By the way, is it possible to reschedule the call time to begin regularly at *1pm Eastern / 12noon Central / 11am Mountain / 10am Pacific*? Without the change to the start time for this call, I can only promise my availability for the first 1/2 hour. Please let me know by Monday afternoon and either way I'll send a call reminder Tuesday morning with the best start time for everyone and dial in details.
1. Communication Channels with SPEC and Advisory Councils
2. Organizational visibility for K20
3. Update on the status of the budget proposal
4. Muse Development Agenda
5. Committee participation and K20 Leadership composition
Very best regards,
Randy

Very encouraging note Tim. Thanks for taking that opportunity to
support Muse! Fingers crossed on the funding. I fully concur with the
discussion below. one thing we've certainly learned in the process of
developing Muse to this point is that its essential to create a clear
picture of the needs we're trying to meet and then articulating a solid
set of functionality specifications before launching into the
development phase. this is the ideal time to woodshed this idea while
we're "between programmers"!
