Create a new database with right collation, and export/import?  Maybe you should do this first just to rule it out…

I run  'new edu.internet2.middleware.grouper.misc.AddMissingGroupSets().addAllMissingGroupSets();'

But the problem is not resolved, the existing groups before migration are still not visible.

I just realized that I forgot to mention an error:

>Error: Queries in your database seem to be case insensitive, this can be a problem for Grouper, if you are using MySQL you should use a bin collation

maybe this is important, but I don't know how to convert all data with a collate 'utf8_bin'.
