Earl,
We at UF are working through much of the same thought in our sandbox implementation. These pages are helpful.
Getting started and getting to a critical mass of knowledge seems to be a key to moving this forward.
We are taking time to experiment and understand the tool.
Then we will likely fresh start on an actual deployment.
Any thought on a fast path out there? Or is the trial and error approach about right at first. WHC Warren H. Curry UFIT – Identity Access Management PO Box 113359, 2008 NE Waldo Rd 352-273-1383

On Behalf Of Chris Hyzer The mailing list is fine, or we could setup a call if you like or use part of the grouper design call in 1.5 weeks on wed at noon…
You could get a FAQ going on the wiki in the appropriate page(s) and people could give their advice (let us know on the mailing list where to go) Thanks, Chris From:

On Behalf Of Earl Lewis I've had a look at the both the wiki pages and training video related to creating folder/group structures for a Grouper installation. These are very helpful and
instructive, so thank you for those. And although those are very helpful, they are mostly focused on what Grouper is capable of doing. What I'm wondering about are the pros/cons of the various design choices that we might make. We're just getting started with Grouper so we're taking small steps getting ramped up with it. Is there any interest from this group in having a dialogue about
pros/cons of grouper design choices? We don't really have enough experience to be able to contribute too much (yet) but we do have lots of questions. The logical follow-up to that question would be, if there is interest, do we just have that dialogue via this mail list, or is there another forum that's more
appropriate (I don't want to overwhelm or distract everyone here if they're not interested in this particular conversation)? |
