Curious to know specifics: Are you using an ESB? Just a JMS queue?
Which products?
we're currently using ActiveMQ.
What do the message recipients do since most target
systems don't come knowing how to do this.
Each of the listeners accepts the msg, and then uses a set of APIs appropriate to its target system to add or delete members. They're pretty simple. The only oddity is that the listener supporting google needs some logic to deal with google's throttling algorithm.
And, of course, all the target systems come with their own unique set of APIs.
