You can select from a SQL view for auditing information...

select * 
from grouper_audit_entry_v 
where string07 = 'some:group:name'
and audit_category = 'membership'

Note this is only for direct actions taken against the group, not for 
effective changes due to other groups.  For that data you will need 
PointInTime audit information in 2.0 :)
