For "member" :

For ldappc (not ng) and OpenLDAP, the "list-empty-value" attribute
provisions an empty required (MUST) attribute with the provided value
:

<group-members-dn-list
list-object-class="groupOfNames"
list-attribute="member"
list-empty-value="" />

For ldappcng and OpenLDAP, there is a similar config :

<references name="member" emptyValue="" >

For "hasMember" :

I forgot to include the eduMember schema in recent ldappc[ng]
distributions, the bug includes the schema file :

https://bugs.internet2.edu/jira/browse/GRP-505

Hope this helps.
