Is there a way your research can utilize the capability DYNES provides, rather than trying to directly take-over the end-servers? Can you benefit from point-to-point reservations and utilize them from a higher-level set of services?

Shawn,
Nicely put. So how do you use DYNES to create point-to-point circuits w/o user access
on both end hosts? My understanding of DYNES, ala our old CHEETAH project, is that
we create end-to-end circuits between two computers (passing through DYNES regional RENS and Internet2 ION),
and then move data with FDT or run wide-area file systems or other apps between those two hosts on the newly
created circuit. Are there ways to do this without login access on DYNES hosts at other sites (by just making the
circuit go switch-to-switch - partial circuits mixed with IP-routed segments)?

Or are you connecting other hosts to the DYNES end-site switch and have login access on other hosts at a remote DYNES end site?

Shawn, I am very curious to hear how you are using DYNES.

Can we share information on the experiments we are running on DYNES?

Jason: is it possible to support a wiki on the DYNES web site allowing us to post information about
our DYNES experiments? Maybe useful to all.

Thanks
MV
