Let’s see if I can avoid getting my message flagged as spam again. I am writing to you from Community Exchange. I’ve been working on a presentation I’m giving tomorrow that includes, among other things, the story of the NET+ GCP program’s engagement with the Google Cloud Rapid Innovation Team (TIR) last fall. For those who don’t know or remember, we worked with RIT to identify some minor services of common benefit to the R&E community that RIT might build together with a community member.
The first project chosen was the Campus Engagement Coach which they built with John Bailey and his team at Washington University in St. Louis. Now you have a chance to build your own copy of the Campus Engagement Coach at the NET+ GCP Barn Raising on May 13. Full details of the project, including a list of prerequisites, can be found on the meeting registration page.
If you missed the January NET+ GCP Town Hall where John Bailey and the Google team showed off the app, check out this brief demo video created by Jeff Nessen to get a sense of the tool.
If you are interested in rolling up your sleeves for a couple of hours and build something new, I encourage you to not wait to review the prerequisites, because one of them is that your institution must have an NDA with Google and that might take a few days to get taken care of. Chris Daugherty can help you out with that.
